It was wonderful to help to take care of your mom, Mary, as the Director of Nursing Care, several years ago, when she came 'over the winter', to stay at Stone Haven Manor, Retirement Home, in Bridle Wood, Kanata. I enjoyed popping in to visit her, and talking with her, as much as I could. A thoroughly- lovely, smart and very interesting lady. She spoke highly of you, her only daughter, Mary, and how you both shared the love of teaching and helping others to reach their full potential! She also talked proudly about her devoted son in law, Jeff, and Courtney and Spencer, her speacial grand children. When you talked with her, it easily became evident that she loved her family dearly. When the spring came around, after, a season, of rest, at the Manor, Eileen was then able to return to her own home, for a longer period of time. I was able to visit with Eileen, recently, again in her lovely room at Garden Terrace LTCH. She showed me all her lovely pictures on the wall in front of her bed! She had on a game show, each time, that I popped up, and she said she enjoyed watching her favorites! It was a privelige to know your mother, Mary, and family; and to share a few different parts, of the journey of life, with her and also, with you. May God grant you His love and peace and strength, at this difficult time, and may you rest easy knowing that your mother, is now in the arms of the Lord. My hear and my thoughts are with you today.
