One of the great privileges of serving with John was being encouraged by his quiet confidence and ``steady``, gentlemanly demeanour. His care for people was heartfelt and he demonstrated that with his commitment to his work. He will be fondly remembered and the goodwill he sowed will continue to reap a harvest of blessing to others for many, many years to come. I was honoured to know him and serve as a colleague. May God comforting presence be felt in abundance by his family and loved ones.
