DINGWALL, John

John A Dingwall of Long Sault (formerly of Finch) passed away peacefully at Cornwall Community Hospital on February 13, 2022, at the age of 81 years.

Beloved husband of Marjorie (Lang) Dingwall for over 61 years. Loved father of Michael Dingwall (Dawn Durant) of Newington Ontario and Kevin Dingwall (Joe Rocha) of Toronto.

Grandfather to Blake Dingwall (Julie) of Cornwall, Bradley Dingwall of Nova Scotia and Raeanne Robertson (Stewart) of Nova Scotia. Great grandfather of Maxim and Meridith Dingwall and Carmen Robertson.

Survived by sister Betty Johnston (Les) of Cornwall, and sister-in-law Joyce (Emery Dingwall) of Cornwall. Predeceased by his parents William and Verna (Hartwell) Dingwall; three brothers Emery of Avonmore, Ford of Brockville (Eileen) and Allan of Cornwall (Heather) and two sisters June MacDonell (Jim) and Grace Perras (Roger).

John was the proud founder and prior owner of Dingwall Transport for over 25 years. He was a well known and respected member of his community.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private spring interment will follow at the Finch Community Cemetery.
